How does the booking calendar work?
Please select the dates you wish to use the equipment for (start & end dates); our hire rates are Fixed. Products will be available for you to collect from 23:30 the day before the hire period starts and must be returned to us at the end of the rental period before 23:59. If we are shipping the equipment, it will arrive to you at the hire day and if requested, we will arrange collection within the hire day(s). There is currently a minimum charge of 10,000 Rwf for orders only shipped within Kigali, and extra 10,000 Rwf charges for collecting our gears after using them.
Can I put items on hold?
You can put items on hold, but please confirm at least 72 hrs before the rental is due to leave us, otherwise, it will be released to other orders. Should you not let us know, we then charge a no-show fee equal to a one day hire.
What is the minimum and maximum rental period?
The minimum rental period is 1 day. We charge a 1 or more day rental fee on orders collected from store on pick up day and returned next day after 8 am the after the rental dates are expired.
The maximum rental period you can rent for is 30 days, however, should you require it for longer than this period then please contact us for a custom quote.
What is damage waiver?
Damage waiver is a 50% charge on your rental that covers against any accidental damage (exc. Negligence) that may occur whilst the rental equipment is in your care. You are liable for the first £250 of any claim.
Damage waiver is compulsory unless you have your own insurance that covers photographic hire. We will need to see a copy of your policy before the rental starts so that we can remove the charge.
How much deposit is required?
We normally require a security deposit to the retail value of the item. However, after successful ID verification and security checks, we may be able to substantially reduce/remove it. The deposit is refunded on safe return of the equipment. Please contact us for more information.Â
Do I have to place a deposit every time I rent?
A deposit is not always required.
Can I get someone else to collect my equipment or pay the deposit?
Yes as long as the person collecting is the person that is an eligible 18+ individual who can sign a contract and have their ID/ Passport present, and rentor(you) have comfirmed before pickup time, then the 3rd party will be allowed to pick up the gears in your name.
Can I pay over the phone?
Yes, as long as the payment methods used are accepted by our website.
Can I get same day delivery?
We do offer a delivery service but only for someone with proof of unavailability. Please contact us for a quote.
Can you deliver on a weekend?
Yes we can deliver on a Saturday/ Sunday.
What happens if I am not in when the delivery is attempted?
The courier will leave a message/call and you will be requested to arrange collection from their depot or re-arrange the delivery again. Please note that the delivery fee is not refunded in such cases, and you have to pay for delivery again.
What happens if my order delays/ doesn’t arrive ?
Incase we fail to deliver the gear to the provided location on time, a delivery refund will be issued after clear inspection of why the delivery was late. Incase our investigation finds out it was your foul for the delivery to delay, there will be no refund issued.
What is the latest time I can book an order for next day delivery?
We would recommend checking with the calendar.
How do your weekend rentals work?
We work 7 days a week. Same hours(8:00-23:59).
If you wish us to pick up/ship your rental to you after open hours then we charge an extra 5000 Rwf.
How far in advance would I need to book to collect from the physical store?
You will need to do your booking from any date of the year up to the selected day.
Can I return my rental after you have closed?
Unfortunately, we cannot offer this service, however, if you are in Kigali we can arrange a local courier to collect from you. Please contact us for details and a quote.
Will I get my deposit back immediately?
We will refund the deposit as soon as all of the equipment and accessories are returned safely. Please note that the credit card services can take up to 4 working days to clear the funds back to your account.Â
What happens if something goes wrong?
All of our equipment is tested before each rental. If on the odd occasion, a problem does arise, we will do our best to get you a replacement as soon as possible. Should you find a fault please let us know straight away.
What happens if I am late to return equipment?
We do charge for late returns, however, if you have a problem getting the kit back to us then please call us as soon as possible.
